Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Townpin AI ("we", "us"). By buying or using Townpin AI, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Questions: [email protected].

1. The service

Townpin AI is software that helps you create, edit, host and publish websites for local businesses using artificial intelligence. Features, limits and included hosting depend on your plan, as described on the page where you bought it and in your account.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by AI assistants you connect to it. Tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

3. Purchases, plans and payments

  • Checkout: purchases are processed by Explodely, our payment partner, under its own terms. Prices are shown before you pay.
  • One-time plans (Starter, Pro, Pro Lite, Agency, Agency Lite): a single payment, with no recurring fee for the plan, for continued access to that plan's features for as long as we operate Townpin AI.
  • Autopilot is a subscription billed every month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep Autopilot until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, you're back on your one-time plan.
  • Credits: monthly credits that come with a plan don't roll over to the next month. Credit packs are a separate purchase.
  • Third-party costs: if you use your own AI key, your AI provider bills you directly for usage. Domain names are bought separately from a registrar of your choice.

4. 60-day money-back guarantee

If Townpin AI isn't for you, email [email protected] within 60 days of a purchase for a full refund of that purchase. Refunds are paid through Explodely to your original payment method. When a purchase is refunded, the access it added is removed. Please contact us before filing a chargeback: a chargeback also removes the access, and we'll usually resolve the problem faster.

5. Commercial license

You may build websites with Townpin AI for yourself or for clients, charge for them, host them, rent them out, and use them for lead generation or pay-per-call, within your plan's limits. You may not resell, share or sublicense access to Townpin AI itself, or use it to build a competing product.

6. Your content and AI-generated content

  • You keep ownership of the content you add and the sites you create. You give us the permission we need to store, process, generate, host and publish that content to provide the service.
  • Content is written by artificial intelligence and can contain mistakes. Review every page before you publish it, and make sure it is accurate for the business.
  • You are responsible for your sites and their content, including having the right to use any business's name, details, logo, photos and reviews.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Townpin AI to:

  • publish illegal, misleading, defamatory or infringing content;
  • post fake or AI-written reviews, or invent licences, awards, prices or credentials;
  • pretend to be a specific business you don't represent;
  • send spam or break advertising, telemarketing or consumer-protection laws, including the terms of any lead-generation or pay-per-call network you use;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits.

We may remove content, take sites offline, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Hosting

Sites hosted by us are subject to your plan's limits and fair use. If your plan stops including hosting, for example after a refund, we'll tell you and give you a grace period to upgrade or move the site to your own Cloudflare account before it goes offline. Your site's content stays in your account.

9. Third-party services

Townpin AI works with independent services, including Explodely, AI providers, Cloudflare, Google and pay-per-call networks. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their services, decisions or payouts.

10. No guarantees of results

We don't guarantee search rankings, traffic, calls, leads, sales or income. Any examples of earnings are illustrations only. Please read our Earnings Disclaimer.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep Townpin AI available and secure, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features over time. We won't take away the core features of a plan you've paid for without offering a fair alternative or a refund.

12. Disclaimers

Apart from the promises in these terms, Townpin AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is made against us because of your content, your sites, or your breach of these terms.

15. Ending your use

You can stop using Townpin AI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 5 to 14 continue to apply after your account ends.

16. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll also let you know by email or in the app. If you keep using Townpin AI after a change, you accept the new terms.
