Privacy Policy

This policy comes from Townpin AI ("we", "us"). It explains what we collect when you visit our sales pages or use the Townpin AI app at app.townpin.pro, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored as a secure hash, never in plain text.
  • Purchase details: when you buy through Explodely, our payment partner, we receive your name, email, the product, the amount, and order and subscription references. We never receive your full card or bank details.
  • Business and site details you enter: business names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, services, areas, logos, photos, customer reviews you add, and the pages and posts of your sites.
  • Connected accounts: AI provider keys and Cloudflare tokens you connect are stored encrypted. Only the last 4 characters are ever shown back to you. If you use Search Console features, we store the Google email address you give us so we can add you as an owner of your site's Search Console property, and the search performance data Google returns for your sites.
  • AI assistant connections: if you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, we store the access tokens that let it use your account, which you can revoke at any time.
  • Usage and technical data: records of AI requests made for your account, which are kept for 90 days, plus IP address, browser type and security logs.

Cookies and similar technologies

The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We don't use advertising cookies in the app. On our sales pages, videos are embedded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn't set YouTube cookies until you play a video, and fonts load from Google Fonts. The affiliate page stores the affiliate ID you enter in your own browser, so it's still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us.

How we use your information

  • To provide Townpin AI: building, generating, hosting and publishing your sites.
  • To process purchases, subscriptions, refunds and credits.
  • To send service emails: account setup, receipts, security and important changes.
  • To give support, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use the content of your sites to advertise to you.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that run Townpin AI, and only what each one needs:

  • Explodely: checkout, payments and affiliate tracking.
  • AI providers (OpenRouter, xAI, OpenAI or Anthropic): the business details and instructions needed to write your pages and images are sent to the provider. On your own key, that is your account with them. On platform AI, that is ours.
  • Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of published sites. If you connect your own Cloudflare account, your sites are published there.
  • Google: verifying your sites and providing Search Console data, if you use those features.
  • Email and infrastructure providers: sending service emails and running our servers.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

Websites you publish

Sites you publish are public by design. Anything you put on them, including business contact details and reviews, can be seen by anyone. You are responsible for having the right to publish the details of the businesses you build sites for.

How long we keep it

  • Account and site data: while your account is active.
  • If you delete your account: your account and all your sites are permanently deleted 30 days later.
  • AI request records: 90 days.
  • Downloadable site ZIP files: 48 hours.
  • Purchase and billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Security

Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and secrets such as AI keys and Cloudflare tokens are encrypted at rest. Two-factor authentication is available in your account settings. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Your rights

You can view and update your details in your account, and delete your account from the account settings. Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and California, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Children

Townpin AI is for adults running businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll also let you know by email or in the app.
